So… I’ve Been Making Tiny Things Again 👀✨

Can we talk about how much I love making little extras for events?

Like, genuinely. I could be focused on one project and suddenly my brain goes:“But what if we added a tiny surprise?”

And then three hours later I’m surrounded by scraps of paper, laminate sheets, stickers, and enough craft supplies to make someone question my life choices.

Which brings me to one of the goodies I’ve been working on for Mixtapes & Messy Pages

Mini Vinyl Coasters 🎶✨

Listen.

Are they tiny? Yes.

Are they adorable? Also yes.

Did I absolutely have to make them look like miniature vinyl records? Obviously.

One of my favorite parts about creating events like this is finding little ways to bring the theme to life. Since we’re celebrating nostalgia, creativity, journaling, and all those songs that lived rent-free in our heads in the 2000s, these felt like the perfect addition.

But here’s where it gets fun…What If You’re Extra Crafty? 👀

Because let’s be honest.

If you’re coming to my upcoming junk journal social, there’s a very high chance you’re the type of person who looks at something and immediately thinks:

“Okay, but what else could I do with this?”

Same.

So while these mini vinyls can absolutely be used as coasters, I’m also going to share some ideas for turning them into something even more personalized.

Got a Cricut machine?

What if you mounted it onto a piece of wood?

What if you added a custom title?

What if you turned it into wall decor?

What if you created a mini album cover inspired by your favorite throwback song?

See? We’re already spiraling into creative possibilities and I’m not mad about it.

That’s Kind of the Whole Point

One thing I love about crafting is that there isn’t really a “right” way to do it.

You can follow an idea exactly.

You can completely ignore the original idea.

You can accidentally make something better than what you planned.

And somehow all of those outcomes are valid.

That’s the energy I want for Mixtapes & Messy Pages.

No pressure.

No perfection.

Just a room full of creative women hanging out, making things, sharing ideas, eating snacks, and probably saying:

“Wait… that’s actually genius.”

At least twelve times.

I Have Questions For You 🎤

Because now I’m curious…

What was your favorite 2000s song?

Was it a pop anthem?

An emo phase classic?

A song you absolutely shouldn’t have been singing at your age but somehow knew every word to?

And if you could turn one song into a journal page, what would it be?

Tell me. I need inspiration.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have more tiny goodies to make because apparently I don’t know how to do anything halfway. 💕✨
